A lovely tribute.

What a special tribute to a very special hen, Naina. Nys is a beautiful name, and as you have so clearly shared with us, she was a very beautiful bird.

Those who say "it was only a chicken" don't understand, but there's really, as you say, no need to explain or feel guilty for feeling bereaved when one of our flock dies. They are an important part of our life.

Fly high, Nyx. You are findly remembered, and much missed.
